Fourteen years have passed since Ariel first defeated Ursula, married Prince Eric and got herself a pair of legs. Now her daughter, Melody, has decided to go against her mother's wishes to search the ocean for the city of Atlantis. Children begin the adventure as Ariel, reliving the events of the first movie. Once they defeat Ursula, kids change over to Melody and start their search for Atlantis. Disney did an excellent job making the controls simple enough for even young children to use. The goals and obstacles are also fairly simple- collect coins and pearls, for example. Even more impressive are the spoken instructions that accompany the on-screen text. These features combine to make the game accessible to a younger age range.

Captain Blasto, the not particularly bright but very muscular superhero, must travel to Uranus and free the Space Babes, while defeating Bosc's minions. Blasto is a third-person shooter with platforming elements. The protagonist can use various firearms to dispose of the alien enemies. Many fights are scripted, as aliens teleport around the hero when certain events are triggered. Different weapons must be used in different situations to gain the upper hand.

Oh no! Alfred's girlfriend Floella has been chicknapped by the malevolent MekaChicken! Navigate Alfred through worlds of cheese, playing cards, children's toy blocks and more weird locations as he pursues MekaChicken and defeats an army of psychotic snails along the way. Alfred Chicken is based on the 1993 game of the same name. It features updated polygonal graphics and a CD quality soundtrack, in addition to all-new levels. However, the basic gameplay is the same - guide Alfred through action-packed platform levels and snatch up as many gems as you can along the way. Peck at the balloons strewn throughout the levels to release them - once you've released them all, you can progress to the next level. A watering can is also hidden in each level - collect these for Alfred's friend Mr. Peckles, who is (naturally) a gigantic smiling sunflower. Doing so will score Alfred a bonus for the level.

In Akuji: The Heartless the player takes the role of Akuji, a voodoo-priest. The title of the game is meant to be taken literally as Akuji's wedding day brought a problem with it: his brother kills him and rips out his heart. Now Akuji has to travel through the underworld to get back to the living and take his revenge.

Continuing its extensive range of children's titles, Vivendi releases a PlayStation game featuring a young and intrepid explorer by the name of Adiboo. On Planet Celesta, a small world made from numerous islands, life is usually peaceful. However, when a small and mysterious island made of metal disappears, it's leader, Paziral, wreaks havoc on the Tonies' island, one of the most ancient on Celesta. And that's when one of the island's small inhabitants, Tiltilli, asks for your help. A single-player adventure, Adiboo is your average platform adventure, but can be closely related with Naughty Dog's Crash Bandicoot series. There are two distinct playing styles that involve players in a 2D side-on scrolling platformer as well as a 3D adventure. The side-on scrolling section of the game is very much an old school experience, whereby players move from left to right, jumping platforms and collecting numerous valuables. The 3D section is like many modern day adventures and includes boat races down lava streams. And for a last generation PlayStation game, Adiboo looks quite respectable in the visuals department. Although pixelated, the game is reasonably smooth and for the most part, looks as good as any other PlayStation offering. Adiboo and Paziral's Secret is a pretty good platform game for an old console. Great for the kids. This game is also known as Adiboo and the Energy thieves on PC.

In their big debut on the Nintendo 64, the favorite cartoon babies are about to get wrapped up in the scavenger hunt to end all scavenger hunts. Featuring three different board games, RUGRATS: Scavenger Hunt utilizes the animation and humor from the cartoon series, and melds it into an original game that has players traipsing through 3D worlds looking for hidden objects. In "The Pirate Treasure Hunt," the babies travel underwater in search of items; "Angelica's Temple of Gloom" challenges players to find bits of Stu's broken Aztec statues before Angelica can; and "Reptar Rally" has the babies collecting sweets in Candy Island. Once you choose your baby from a list that includes Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, or Lil, you begin using a spinner (just like a board game spinner) to determine how many spaces you'll advance. There are lots of trick spaces that give you advantages or disadvantages, like the Spike the Dog spot (which allows you to ride the pet for five spaces), and a Dil spot (which makes Dil come out and shuffle the board). Don't get too worked up though, as each baby has an energy meter, and if it hits zero you'll have to take a nap. • No save option available

Originally cancelled, the game was later released by Piko Interactive in 2018. 40 Winks is a 3D action-platform game in which you play as Ruff or Tumble, two children who must battle ghosts, goblins and other monsters in their dream-world. They must try to capture 40 winks scattered around the world in order to stop an evil old man named Nitekap. Nitekap wants to turn the winks into hood-winks, the things responsible for nightmares. You also have to find the 12 dream keys to unlock the boss level. A unique aspect of the game allows the players to temporarily morph into different costumes with special abilities. The costumes include a Prehistoric Man, Jester, Super Hero, and Ninja.

The Powerpuff Girls must battle enemies in a variety of settings in order to reclaim Chemical X and track down Mojo Jojo. Players can play the story mode or can battle against a friend in a head-to-head battle. In the story mode, players can pick up objects and throw them at an enemy to decrease their opponents health meter. They can use superpowered attacks by collecting vials of Chemical X. If the player successfully defeats the enemy in two out of three rounds, they move to the next enemy location.

First-time Nintendo 64 developer Sucker Punch Studios jumped onto the scene with a highly original 3D platformer. The design philosophy behind the title is simple -- rather than build the platformer around the main character, the software house opted instead to focus on the interactivity of the 3D environments he travels. To that end, Rocket employs an advanced physics engine which allows the main character, a lovable unicycle-based robot named Rocket, to travel and experiment with colorful, platform-esque worlds with realistic gravity and inertia. Every object has its own set of lifelike attributes that must be "weighed" into consideration when solving puzzles. • Saves via Internal Memory (EEPROM)

The game mechanics are similar to the original; you outrun 'monsters' by using alternate routes, sliding on ropes, climbing ladders or drilling holes in the ground to trap them. This game differs from the other incarnations of games from the series because of its apparent three-dimensional perspective. While essentially running in 2-dimensional space, the player has an option to move in another direction every so often. The levels are mostly spirals that require climbing to complete. There are five worlds and each one must be unlocked by finding five cards from the previous world excluding the first. Each world is divided into five stages with each stage divided into four levels. The general goal of each level is to collect a certain amount of gold to activate a portal that allows the player to continue. As the player progresses, each world adds new interactive objects and tools as well as new obstacles. • Saves via Internal Memory (EEPROM)

A space station that was built more than 1000 years before by Earth, shortly after its launch, vanished. The station has since then mysteriously reappeared and it's bound on a collision course with Earth. Unless Dan and Evo can stop it, all will surely perish. The idea behind the game is fairly simplistic: players take on the role of Evo, a robotic microchip that possesses the unique ability to take over the bodies of dead (robotic) animals. Evo makes his way through a variety of levels and worlds filled with different objectives and, of course, different animals. • Saves via Internal Memory (EEPROM)
